How are online job openings and regular jobs different? Well, "regular jobs" are time-based and require you to be physically present. For example if you have a job at McDonalds, you are required to:

A. Make an appearance at a certain time, ready to work.

B. You need to be presentable, which means outfitted as well as groomed in a manner compatible with the job as well as the public contact your job requires.

C. Your compensation is normally time-based; you are paid by the hour or week or month that you will be there working or prepared to work.

D. Your supervisor is charged with making sure you show up, appear presentable and actually work within the hours you're "clocked in"

Web-based jobs, online job openings, are results-based and deadline-based. This means that nobody cares about the way you look, how (or even if) you are dressed or what hours you work. They are concerned only about what you get done. How many surveys you completed, what number of blog postings you made or what number of my space and face book bookmarks you placed -- whatever it had been you were required to do.

When you apply for jobs online, no one cares whether you work mornings, afternoons or nights. That is generally your responsibility. If your job was to write ten articles on "Artichoke hearts" and deliver them by noon on Friday, they don't care when or where you wrote the articles or if you ever shaved and took a bath or not. All they are concerned about is that you have them there, with acceptable format and quality, and on time, by midday on Friday.

In a "regular job" for a "bricks and mortar" company/business, it is about showing up on time, making a good appearance and working throughout the prescribed hours.

In an Internet job (real online job), it's all about what you gotten done and whether you met your deadlines or not.

Oh, and when you work for a bricks and mortar company you have to show up at a specific time and place on payday to receive your check or your pay envelope. Whenever you work online your cash earned is deposited directly into your PayPal account and you may access it using an atm card at any ATM, from any location, at any hour.

Not forgetting that when you are making money on the internet you save all the costs and time of commuting, buying and maintaining appropriate clothing, self-grooming to the boss' standards and also the necessity to get along with co-workers.
